DON 2 STORY

Now Playing DON 2 Movie, Superstar Shahrukh Khan and director Farhan Akhtar's previous movie Don: The Chase Begins Again was a blockbuster in 2006. After five years the duo has come back with its sequel, Don 2: The King is Back, which also marks SRK's return to anti-hero role. Before its release, the movie had created lot of curiosities among the audience. It do meet the expectation of the audience and Shahrukh once again rocks them as don.

Don 2 is an action thriller film and Shahrukh Khan's dazzling action is the major attraction in it. The stunning visuals, Jason West's wonderful camera work, classic action and thrilling chase sequences, stylish narration, hip and witty dialogues, spectacular locations, beautiful costumes are the other highlights of the movie. What does not work in the film is its songs composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

The movie has a stylishly crafted story, which is full of vigorous stunts. But one can deny the fact that Farhan Akhtar has borrowed several element of Hollywood films like Ocean’s Eleven, Die Hard, Mission Impossible and few others. Yet, it is a right package of entertainer for Indian movie-goers.

Among the new entrants, Kunal Kapoor is believable, Lara Dutta is best remembered for shimmying in gold to the retro beats of Zara dil ko thaam lo (there's no Kareena here and someone's got to do it). The rest of the music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is nothing to write home about.

Usha Uthup renders Hai ye maya, an almost James Bond-ish touch with that deep bass.

3D is a waste, so don't fret if you haven't booked for a 3D show. In fact, don't fret if you haven't booked a show at all.

The King is yet to return. Meanwhile since Hrithik's cameo is the highpoint of the film and the plot does have a few interesting twists, I'll go with 2.5 stars, for the film.

the Canadian company that is manufacturing Aakash, will start distribution of the much anticipated low cost Android tablet from next month for which online booking had started on December 15.

A spokesperson of Datawind said to The Mobile Indian, "People who have booked the Aakash tablet online will get its delivery in January.” The spokesperson, however, didn't cite any reason for the delay. Earlier the company had said that the Rs 2,500 Aakash tablet will be delivered within seven days of online booking.

Flip Flops

On earlier occasions also, Datawind have failed to honour their commitment as the tablet was supposed to be made available in retail stores by the end of November. Now it is expected to hit the stores only in February.

DataWind initially said that the Aakash tablet will be available to students only through colleges and schools. However, later it started online booking of Aakash for everyone including students. Besides, DataWind have given only 10,000 Aakash tablets to the government for distribution in schools and colleges of the initial 1 lakh proposed.

The Mobile Indian got more than 200 emails and 300 calls from users who complained that after booking the tablet online they didn't get any call or confirmatory email.

Even after The Mobile Indian's repeated request for clarification on the hardship faced by the consumers, Datwind didn't share any information instead it said: "An official statement will soon be released and we will keep you posted.”

We hope this time Akash Tablet is delivered to consumers on time.

About Aakash and UbiSlate

There are two versions of the tablet. The original Aakash tablet comes with much lower specifications and is priced at Rs 2,500. Its cousin - named as UbiSlate, is comparatively powerful and is priced at Rs 2,999.

UbiSlate will be powered by Android 2.3 and will have a resistive touchscreen, Cortex A8-700 MHz processor and graphics accelerator HD video processor, 256 MB of RAM and 2 GB of internal memory. Other specifications are - one standard USB port, 3.5 mm audio jack, a 7 inch display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, resistive touchscreen, GPRS and WiFi support.

On the other hand, the 7 inch screen bearing Aakash tablet has Android 2.2 operating system, Arm11 — 366 Mhz processor, 2100 battery, WiFi and will have support for 3G modem. The price difference between the Aakash and UbiSlate is because the commercially available product will include a cellular modem, allowing it to deliver web access anywhere there is a cellular connectivity, and also to function as a mobile phone. Notably, Internet access on both the tablets across mobile networks will be priced at Rs 99 for 2GB.

When that happens the buttermilk is spilled over the entire group, symbolizing their achievement through unity. Various handis are set up locally in several parts of the city, and groups of youngsters, called govinda, travel around in trucks trying to break as many handis as possible during the day.

Telangana Bandh today - Telangang Student JAC

Chief Minister central government decided remove 14f, Chidambaram to meet President regarding this issue, state ministers are continue there Ministry duties from tomorrow, 10th august i.e.. Tomorrows bandh will continue said OUJAC. The agitations in Osmania University will not stop till 14f official removed. TDP chief N.Chandrababu Naidu welcomed the government decision.


Telangana region is part of Andhra Pradesh state in southern India. It constitutes Hyderabad, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahaboobnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, RangaReddy and Warangal districts. Telangana region is one of the least developed regions in India. Rampant poverty, illiteracy, malnourished children, child labor, farmer suicides, unemployment, water scarcity and electricity shortage are some of the problems of this region. There are millions of people who are not fortunate enough to send their children to schools or feed their children three time a day, or provide safe drinking water to their families in this area.

The bandh in Telangana which was proposed to be organised last week by students' JAC with the support of the TRS has now been scheduled for August 10.

The students JAC chairman, Pidamarthi Ravi, said the bandh was being organised to demand scrapping of Clause 14 (f) of Presidential Order to pave way for declaration of Hyderabad as a non-free zone for the purpose of services. If the government did not take steps even after the bandh, the JAC would organise ‘Chalo BHEL' on August 13 and 14 to obstruct the written exam for recruitment of sub-inspectors of police in BHEL township.

The JAC had actually called the bandh on August 5 but was postponed as it happened to be the first Friday of the holy month of Ramzan. The organisation then contemplated having the bandh on August 8 (Monday) which was also dropped due to lack of preparation. After a meeting of the steering committee of the panel on Sunday, it was finally decided to go ahead with the bandh on August 10 when no other programmes by Telangana organisations were scheduled. The JAC would review the situation next day and plan out ‘Chalo BHEL' effectively, Mr. Ravi said. The political JAC chairman M. Kodandaram welcomed the decision of the students to organise the bandh on Wednesday.

Shriya Saran was born in Dehradun to Pushpendra Saran and Neeraja Saran.
