Stars, including Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, NTR Jr., Allu Arjun and Ramcharan Tej sent out messages to fans asking them to do their best to alleviate the millions of people suffering from the effects of Hudhud.
In an expression of support to the Hudhud-affected people of Visakhapatnam in particular and North Andhra in general, top stars of the Telugu film industry on Tuesday announced donations totalling to over Rs. 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Not stopping with donating money, stars, including Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, NTR Jr., Allu Arjun and Ramcharan Tej sent out messages to their fans asking them to rally together and do their best to alleviate the millions of people suffering from the effects of Hudhud.
The highest amount announced was by Pawan Kalyan, who individually contributed Rs. 50 lakh. In a release, he said he was anguished by the calamity and that the plight of lakhs of people who were destabilised was unimaginable. “It is in times like these that we should rise above parties and politics , he said, appealing to his fans and supporters to come out and participate in relief operations.The next highest contribution, of Rs. 25 lakh, was from Mahesh Babu, N.T. Rama Rao, Prabhas and Allu Arjun (Rs. 20 lakh each), Krishna (Rs.15 lakh) and his wife Vijaya Nirmala (Rs. 10 lakh) and Rs. 10 lakh from Ramcharan Tej. All of them recalled their gratefulness to people of North Andhra and specifically of Visakhapatnam for supporting them, their films and their families for years together. Interestingly, ‘Burning Star’ Sampoornesh Babu donated Rs. 1 lakh and producer of ‘3G Love’ Pratap Kolagatla also contributed Rs. 1 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Speaking to presspersons at the Chiranjeevi Blood Bank here, Mr. Ramcharan also said he was donating Rs. 5 lakh to the Ramakrishna Mission, apart from contributing to food for 5,000 people.
