Amrita Rao’s “Shortkut” to a sexy diva

Actress Amrita Rao has played glamour-less roles in films like “Vivaah” and “Welcome To Sajjanpur”. Even in the films “My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves” and “Ishq Vishq”, her roles did not allow her to show her glam-wares.
Now, she got an opportunity to look glamorous and even achieve the look of a sexy diva.

Amrita is playing the role of a film actress in Anil Kapoor produced film “Shortkut… The Con Is On”. She recently sizzled in the song “Patli Galli”, a peppy number composed by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy and sung by Shankar

Mahadevan. The video has been shot by Neeraj Vohra and choreographed by Bosco.

In this film, Amrita co-stars with Akshay Khanna and Arshad Warsi. She will be seen in designer Manish Malhotra creations. She will also be seen in a silver swimsuit.

“Shortkut… The Con Is On” will release in the month of July.

Rajinikanth’s “Robo” has Hollywood connections

Acclaimed director Shankar is making a Sci-Fi film “Robo” (“Endhiran” in Tamil) with Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai and a budget of Rs 100 Crore. With lot of visual special effects required for the film,Hollywood experts have been signed up for the work.

Hollywood’s Stan Winston Studio has created an android replica of Rajinikanth for the film. The special effects studio has worked on films like “Terminator”, “Aliens” and ”Predator”. This is the first Indian film the Studio is working.

Hollywood’s most acclaimed technician Mary E Vog, who worked on the costumes in “Batman Return”, has designed the costumes for Rajini and Aishwarya. Yuen Woo-Ping, who arranged fight scenes in films like “Matrix”, has choreographed the action sequences in “Robo”. In addition, Oscar winning AR Rahman has composed music.

“Robo” will also have an English version, in addition to Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The film is planned for release in the summer of 2010.
