Georgia's Next Season Football Recruit | James Wilder Jr
Barring a last-minute change of heart, Tampa Plant High School running back James Wilder Jr., considered among the nation's top high school football recruits, will attend Georgia next season, sources told FanHouse.
Wilder has scheduled a 5 p.m. Wednesday news conference in the school's auditorium to announce his decision. The news conference will be televised locally in Tampa. Last week, the 6-foot-3, 220-pounder said that he had narrowed his final three choices to Georgia, Florida and Florida State.
"I've slept on it a lot," Wilder told the St. Petersburg Times last week. "Today I'll have FSU in the lead, tomorrow I'll have UF and in three days I'll have Georgia. I just have to make sure I think a lot about it. I've still got a lot of thinking to do in the last seven days."
Wilder, who also is a devastating force on defense at end and linebacker, narrowed his choices to Georgia, UF and FSU because they recruited Wilder as a running back.
Wilder is rated the nation's No. 1 overall recruit by MaxPreps and No. 3 overall recruit by Rivals.com. He's also rated the nation's No. 1 linebacker by Scout.com and the nation's No. 2 athlete by ESPNU

Today is the 90th anniversary the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution, the one that gave women the right to vote after a full century of organization, agitation and marching.
On this date in 1920 the Tennessee General Assembly became the 36th state to ratify the amendment, thus making it official.
Few folks remember, however, that the historic ratification occurred by just one single vote, a man, of course, in those days.
It was Harry T. Burn, a lawyer and later a banker. He had settled on his opposition to this suffrage nonsense.
The General Assembly suffrage amendment vote came up a 48-48 tie. Burn's vote would defeat it and postpone national ratification at least another month until the Connecticut Legislature vote.
But shortly before the historic legislative tally, Harry T. Burn received a long letter from his mother back home in Niota.
She said, in part:
I have been watching to see how you stood, but have not noticed anything yet. Don't forget to be a good boy.
Harry T. Burn behaved himself. He changed his "nay" vote to "yea."

· Selection for post codes 01 TO 09 will be through written test and interview.
However, depending upon the response to the advertisement for post codes 03 and 09,
the bank may waive written test. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms do not entitle a candidate to be called for Test or Interview.
The Written Test for post codes 01 to 09 will be held on Sunday, 24-10-2010 at
Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Lucknow and Bhopal centres only.
The Written Test (Preliminary) for the post code 10 (Management Trainee) will
be held on Sunday, 28-11-2010 at Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Patna centres only.
- Bank, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the above mentioned Centres
and/ or add some other Centres, depending upon the response of the candidates,
administrative feasibility, etc.
- The Candidates will have to appear for the written examination at the allotted
Centre at their own expenses and risks and the Bank will not be responsible for
any injury or losses etc. of any nature. No request for change of centre will be
entertained.
- The date of the test is tentative. The exact date will be communicated to the
candidates through the call letters for the examination. The Bank reserves the
right to cancel or make any change in the date of the test, if necessary.

SC/ST/PC category candidates: 50/- per candidate (only postage charges)
General/OBC/EXSM category candidates : 400/- per candidate.

The application fee must be paid in cash, separately for each post at any branch of Punjab National Bank. Before depositing the fee, the candidate must download a copy of the Cash voucher from our website www.pnbindia.com. The voucher will be in duplicate. The following details must be entered into both copies of the voucher:
(i) Candidate’s name, (ii) Candidate’s category, (iii) Name and code no. of the Branch selected for payment, (iv) Date of payment and (v) Fee to be paid (vi) post applied for.
Thereafter, the voucher is to be presented at the Branch, along with the application fee. After payment, the candidate must ensure that the transaction Id generated is entered into then voucher. The candidate’s copy of the voucher will then be handed over to him/her. Payment of fee should be made from 18-08-2010 to 07-09-2010.
