Jai (Imran Khan) and Aditi (Genelia D' Souza) are best friends in college. Aditi's only complaint is that Jai is too peace loving, and refuses to get into violent quarrels for any reason. Jai's widowed mother Savitri is largely responsible for the nonviolent streak, as she was once married to a warrior. The father's spirit still haunts his son, and Savitri has long imaginary exchanges with his portrait on the wall on the issue of non violence.
