The Telugu Desam is expecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and about five lakh people to watch the grand swearing-in ceremony of N. Chandrababu Naidu as the first Chief Minister of the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh on June 8. The ceremony is scheduled for 7.27 pm on June 8.

K Chandrasekha Rao to be Telangana CM 2014


Telangana - Midnight India got its 29th state in the form of Telangana. Rao was sworn in along with other minsiters in his cabinet. Some of the ministers who took the oath as the Cabinet Ministers were Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Rao's nephew T Harish Rao and T Padma Rao.


Telangana Rastra Samithi chief K Chandrasekhar Rao was sworn in as the first chief minister of Telangana Today June 2, 2014.



Governor ESL Narasimhan, who presided over Rao's swearing-in, also on Monday took oath as the governor of Telangana, the 29th state of the country.

After KC Rao was sworn-in, Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Telangana as the nation's 29th state. He tweeted his best wishes to the state's first chief minister:


Modi even tweeted:
Congrats to K Chandrasekhar Rao Garu on taking oath as Telangana's 1st CM. My best wishes to people for the state's development journey.
