2014 Wimbledon Championships
The 2014 Wimbledon Championships is a tennis tournament that is played on outdoor grass courts. It is the 128th edition of the Wimbledon Championships and the third Grand Slam event of the year. It is currently taking place at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, and is scheduled to run from 23 June to 6 July. It consists of events for professional players in singles, doubles and mixed doubles play. Junior and wheelchair players also take part in singles and doubles events as well as retired players in invitation doubles.
Andy Murray of Great Britain is the defending champion in men's singles, and Marion Bartoli of France is the women's singles champion; however, her retirement from tennis in 2013 means that she will not return to defend her title.

The tournament consists of both men's and women's singles and doubles draws as well as a mixed doubles event.[1] There are singles and doubles events for both boys and girls (players under 18), which is part of the Grade A category of tournaments, and doubles events for men's and women's wheelchair tennis players as part of the NEC tour under the Grand Slam category. The tournament is played on grass courts and takes place over a series of 19 courts, including the four main showcourts, Centre Court, No. 1 Court, No. 2 Court and No. 3 Court.[2]
