Kishore Kumar born on 4 August 1929 was an Indian film playback singer and an actor who also worked as lyricist and composer and producer and director and screenwriter and scriptwriter. Kishore Kumar sang in many Indian languages including( Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Malayalam and Oriya, telugu)He was the winner of 8 Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer and holds the record for most number of Filmfare Awards won for that category.

Kishore Kumar starred in films New Delhi in 1957, Aasha , Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi , Half Ticket and Padosan . Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, his home production, starred the three Ganguly brothers and Madhubala. The film is about romance between a city girl Madhubala and a car mechanic Kishore Kumar with a subplot involving brothers.
Kishore Kumar stopped singing for Amitabh Bachchan in the mid-1980s, after Bachchan did not do a guest appearance in a film produced by him but called a truce with him by singing for him in Toofan.
