Top foreign policy priorities of Russia | Ties with India top foreign policy priority - Russia

India is one the top foreign policy priorities of Russia, President Dmitry Medvedev has said, adding that the ties between the two countries are at a qualitatively new level.
Congratulating President Pratibha Patil on the occasion of 60th Republic Day, Medvedev said, Strategic partnership with your country is among the foreign policy priorities of Russia. High dynamism in our interaction in all the spheres testifies the level and degree of trust in the bilateral relations.
In a separate message to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Medvedev noted it was highly symbolic that the 60th anniversary of the Republic of India coincides with the 10th anniversary of the bilateral declaration on strategic partnership signed in 2000.
This document became the enduring foundation for the development of multi-plane bilateral ties and elevate them to a qualitatively new level through joint efforts, Medvedev wrote to Singh.
He expressed confidence that the agreements reached during Russia visits of Patil in September and Singh in December 2009 respectively, will give a new fillip to multi-faceted cooperation in implementing grand scale joint projects and effective interaction on the key issues of international agenda for strengthening global stability and security.
