CCS stands for Chaudhary Charan Singh University. Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCS) was set up in 1966 to provide the requirements of higher education in western Uttar Pradesh. Its silver jubilee was celebrated in 1999. Currently, Chaudhary Charan Singh University is one of the leading educational institutions of the country.
In this Chaudhary Charan Singh University you can find a vast, beautiful and pollution-free campus which sprawls over 222 acres of land having wide playgrounds and experimental fields, rose garden with life-size statue of the late Prime Minister Ch. Charan Singh, Gymnasium, well equipped Library, Hostels for both girls and boys, Guest House, Community Center, Residential Quarters for faculty members and employees, botanical garden, Canteen, Bank and Post office. In this University a separate engineering college is also there for the students which presently offering courses leading to B.Tech degree.
Chaudhary Charan Singh University has started M.Phil and Ph.D programmes in 1969. It is the first university in the country who introduce M.Phil programme. After that university has been progressing continuously. 252 professional colleges/institutions 109 colleges and one constituent college are joined to Chaudhary Charan Singh University. Through quizzes, tests and seminars students are progressing. For the students various facilities are provided by university.

He resigned citing health reasons. If charges against him are proven , it would be one of most embarassing moment of Indepedent India. Making raj bhavan into low class hotel room for sexual gratification is last thing one can expect from 85 year old governor.

Shahrukh Khan’s detention in US: Shahrukh Khan’s fans were in for shock, when the actor was questioned and ‘detained’ (in his words) by the US immigration authorities on his recent trip to the United States. Shahrukh Khan claimed that he was detained and questioned for hours because of his last name .”I have always been worried about travelling to America. I shy away from all this. The Joint Action Committee (JAC) has called for a Telangana Vidyardhi Maha Garjana on January 3rd.This meeting will be organized in Hyderabad and where students from all over the Telangana region will converge to send a strong message to the center.
This convention is expected to be a massive show of strength from the Telangana vadulu.
The Osmania University Student's Joint Action Committee (JAC) decided to conduct Telangana Vidhyarthi Maha Garjana on January 3 with five lakh students at OU Arts College demanding the center to initiate the process for a separate Telangana by January 2. They said they will consider calling off their agitation if the Center responds positively to their demands.
The Telugu Desam has extended support to the Maha Garjana and requested students to participate in large number and make it a grand success. The JAC leaders said they were forced to take this decision as the Center and the state governments were neglecting the Telangana issue due to pressure from Andhra and Rayalaseema leaders. They expressed hope that the proposed 'Maha Garjana' will step up pressure on the Center and force it to start the process immediately.

The Joint Action Committee of students represented by Srikanth moved the High Court, aggrieved by the action of the police in not permitting its proposed ‘Vidyarthi Garjana’ (roar of the students) in support of Telangana. The City Police Commissioner had rejected permission citing the recent violent incidents.
The case was heard by Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy at his residence on Saturday evening. After hearing both sides for considerable time, the judge laid down several conditions.
The petitioners have to coordinate with the identified police officers to pinpoint the premises where the meeting will be held. Except students, no one shall be entitled to be at the meeting.
The students’ JAC shall file bonds and undertakings before the Police Commissioner by 11 a.m. to the effect that they will take responsibility for peaceful conduct of the meeting.
No one from political parties and Maoists will be allowed to address the meeting. No rallies or processions will be permitted. The meeting will be concluded by 6.30 p.m. The police have been given authority to regulate the entry and exit.
