Multiplex operator PVR is very close to inking a deal to pick up real estate giant DLF’s multiplex operations. It looks like it will be a no cash transaction, which will leave DLF with a share of PVR.
Earlier it was reported that DLF was in talks with PVR for selling the DT Cinemas business. Apparently, talks have made significant headway, and the two chains are close to striking a deal over the next few weeks.
DLF and PVR have inched closer to striking a deal for DT Cinemas.
NDTV learnt from sources that negotiations between DLF and PVR over control of DT Cinemas have reached advanced stages, and that the two chains are actively considering a “no-cash” arrangement. Sources further added that in the model being explored, PVR may offload upto 14.9 per cent equity at the entity level to DLF, in lieu of a control for DT Cinemas.
